Styrene monomer Uses
Polystyrene (PS) & Expandable Polystyrene (EPS): Extensively used to create rigid packaging, disposable cups, food containers, and lightweight insulation foam for construction.
Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS): A durable thermoplastic used in consumer goods, toys (e.g., LEGO bricks), automotive parts, and refrigerator liners.
Styrene-Butadiene Rubber (SBR): A key component in producing vehicle tires, shoe soles, hoses, and conveyor belts.
Unsaturated Polyester Resins (UPR): Used in fiberglass-reinforced plastics for boat hulls, automotive components, wind turbine blades, and construction materials.
Styrene-Butadiene Latex (SBL): Used as a binder in paper coatings and in the manufacturing of carpet backing.
Styrene Acrylonitrile (SAN): Used for creating durable, heat-resistant products like kitchenware, coffee filters, and medical components.
Specialty Applications: Including styrene-modified bitumen for asphalt, paint/varnish hardeners, and adhesives
