RU(DM-BINAP)(OCOCH3)2 is a chiral ruthenium(II) catalyst used primarily in asymmetric hydrogenation reactions. It belongs to the class of Takasago-type catalysts, prized for its ability to transform prochiral olefins and ketones into highly optically active (chiral) compounds.
