Soldering: Gum rosin is used as a flux for soldering metals.
Paper: Gum rosin is used as a paper sizing agent to improve the strength, smoothness, and anti-abrasion of paper.
Road coating: Gum rosin is used to make thermoplastic coating for road sign injunctions.
