Butyl cellosolve acetate has many uses, including:

Coatings: Used in solvent-based coatings, waterborne latex coatings, and as a coalescent for water-based coatings. It's also used to improve the gloss and flow of baked coatings.
Printing: Used as a solvent in silk screen printing inks, and as a coupling agent for resins and dyes in water-based printing inks. It's also used in flexographic, gravure, and screen-printing inks.
Cleaning: Used in household and industrial cleaners, rust removers, hard surface cleaners, and disinfectants. It's also used in ink and spot removal formulations.
Agricultural: Used as a solvent for agricultural pesticides, insecticides, and herbicides.
Textiles: Used as a dye solvent in the textile industry.
